Question
My 6 year old son's legs join at the thighs - when he stands in attention. (from his knee joints upwards upto a little below his groins) Have been instructed by his sports instructor - that this form of Knock Knee would deter him from active sports. Kindly suggest a remedy? (Exercises /surgery)?? Ravi Raviatwork@hotmail.com
Answer
Knock knees can be due to a variety of causes such as vitamin D deficiency, renal disease, and primary bone disorder. One needs to evaluate the cause of the knock knees and treat the same or else it may recur.
