Dear Doctor, My son is 19 months old and he is feared to walk without support. But he is able to walk holding my one finger. We have consulted our pediatrician regarding this and she said there is no problem with his legs. Please suggest me what to do to make him walk.
Question Category : Delayed development
hello doctor,

I have a son who is 19 months old and does not walk without support. But he is able to walk holding our hand. He even walks for miles with support. We consulted our pediatrician regarding this and she said he lacks confidence in walking without support and said he has no problem in his legs.

Please tell me how to develop confidence in him to walk, we always encourage him when he walks 4 to 5 steps without holding. But still he is very much scared. Can we wait for some more time to walk or do we need to take for physiotherapy? What kind of eercises will be taught there for making him walk? Iam really worried about his delayed walking. Please give me a suggestion.
